Nanotechnology is an important thematic area which is explicitly mentioned in the EU-US Science & Technology Agreement. The main purpose of the event is to bring US and EU researchers and technology transfer firms together in order to support exchange of ideas, to facilitate formation of new partnerships and to advance the frontier research in the area.
American nanotechnology research is the leading one in the world, so getting information on current trends, research directions will be very useful for the European experts and will increase the opportunities for collaboration and joint research.
The workshop is organised by the BILAT-USA project (funded by EU FP7). BILAT-USA project aims to strengthen the collaboration of researchers from the EU and USA.
