The company started as a spin-off of the Research Institute of Technical Physics of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences back in the eighties aiming at to bring to market some of its unique solutions on semiconductor device characterization, such as Deep Level Transition Spectroscopy (DLTS), Carrier Lifetime Measurement, etc.
The company underwent different reorganizations, but reached with its Lifetime Tester over 80% coverage of the Japanese semiconductor market.
Recently, the despite worldwide economical crisis, the company was able to continue its expansion also in the US by taking over tens of US companies. New products aim at automatic characterization of sophisticated PV panels, devices of sub-32nm integrated circuits, and other products of nanoelectronics.
