Supporting transnational research cooperation through networking of funding programmes
31st May 2011 (Budapest)
9:00-12:30
Room Mozart
MATERA and MNT-ERA.NET are large networks of funding programmes that have been running since the 6th Framework Programme in order to support the development of the European Research Area for Materials, Micro and Nano Technologies.
The objective is to debate opportunities for transnational collaborative research, building on the achievements and experience acquired by large ERA-NETs.
Main outcomes and findings of the two ERA-NETs, MATERA and MNT-ERA.NET, will be presented in the first session. The second session will highlight needs and strategies for transnational R&D cooperation in the future, bringing together the policy makers from European Institutions, National and Regional Governments as well as industry, SMEs, research centers and universities.
This seminar is targeted at:
- Policy makers at regional, national and European levels
- Managers of funding programmes
- Research organisations, industry and SMEs interested in international collaborative research
