Standardisation, Safety and Social Aspect of Nanotechnology

31 MAY 2011
14:30-16:00
Room Lehar

This session will review research into nanotechnology-related safety and standardization issues, considering both assessments of exposure and harmonization of safety assessment. This will be followed by a review of the societal and ethical aspects of nanotechnology and an assessment of whether there is a divergence between perceived and actual risk, before the session concludes with an overview of the liability implications for firms working with nanotechnology.
